| Aug 16, 2010: QuotesOnTap, North America's first and only fully self-contained independent multiple company life insurance quotation and comparison tool for the new generation of SmartPhones rapidly gains popularity and is being further enhanced... |
The growing appeal of Smart-Device apps as a marketing tool has been picked up by the insurance industry with the launch a year ago of the first and only independent multiple company multiple product iPhone application for Canada and the US, QuotesOnTap(tm).
Designed, developed, and produced by CompuOffice Software Inc.QuotesOnTap continues to be the only fully self-contained independent multiple carrier life insurance comparison and information application Canadian and American life insurance products. One of the advantages of being self-contained is that, once the products' database is loaded (a task that is easily done using WiFi or 3G, use of the application is free from requiring a "live" WiFi or G3 data connection. This adds speed and reliability while saving freeing the user from incurring the data transfer costs.
Since its initial introduction in August of 2009, QuotesOnTap has been enhanced and expanded with the addition of further functions and capabilities. A major further enhancement of QuotesOnTap for the iPhone, iTouch - and iPad - is now being finalized and is expected to be available for download from Apple's AppStore by the end of this month.
Concurrently, CompuOffice Software Inc. is also putting the final touches to QuotesOnTap for the Blackberry devices. QuotesOnTap for the Blackberry devices is also expected to be available before the end of this month.
There are two versions of QuotesOnTap for the Apple and RIM SmartPhone devices. Each offers a "consumer version" - available free to everyone - and a "professionals' version" available exclusively to life insurance professionals who subscribe to the LifeGuide or CompeteUS service.
The "consumer version" provides information and comparisons based on initial premium costs for various guaranteed premium and coverage products. Since consumers are best served by dealing with knowledgeable, consumer-oriented and properly equipped agents, brokers and advisors, the "consumer" version of QuotesOnTap includes free access to a comprehensive directory of insurance professionals in North America. The directory, which includes the names and telephone numbers of thousands of life insurance professionals is searchable by Postal Code / Zip Code. All Canadian life insurance professionals who subscribe to LifeGuide and all American professionals who subscribe to CompeteUS are eligible for a listing in the directory free of charge.
The "professionals' version" is an expanded version and provides additional product detail, including renewal premiums for the entire possible duration of coverage for each product, along with underwriting evidence requirements for each product based on the demographic information, face amount and product being examined.
QuotesOnTap does not offer insurance advice as CompuOffice Software Inc. does not sell insurance and is entirely independent of all insurance agencies and insurance sales organizations. The purpose of the "consumer version" of QuotesOnTap is to enhance transparency and to provide consumers with an additional education and independent research tool, as well as to provide consumers with access to contact information to thousands of insurance professionals who are equipped to perform thorough and comprehensive suitability and value research for the benefit of consumers. Consumers are showing increased interest in the free "consumer version" of the QuotesOnTap app, using it in downtime while traveling on public transport. Likewise, insurance professionals are finding that QuotesOnTap gives them the ability to provide enhanced service to their clients regardless of where they are at the time. Insurance professionals are also finding QuotesOnTap to be a useful lead generation and "prospecting" tool.
CompuOffice Software Inc. will soon also be offering custom versions of the "professional versions" of QuotesOnTap to individual insurance companies, as well as to MGA offices.
