Canada's Manulife has a market value of $51.4 billion, compared with US based AIG at $50.5 billion. This, after AIG's 68% slump compared with Manulife's 11 drop.
AIG has lost a whopping $97.4 billion in market value this year, in large part due to the US subprime mortgage crisis.
